Joseph began his career in property appraisal in 1985. After spending nearly a decade in senior management positions within the profession, he founded Boutilier & Associates in 1994. Joseph’s dedication and leadership ensure excellence in appraisal services and company management.

General Manager
Jeffrey, our General Manager, has extensive experience in real estate valuation throughout the Nova Scotia market since joining our team in 1996. Prior to his career in property appraisal, he excelled in real estate sales, gaining insights into market dynamics and essential market strategies.
Manager, Commercial Division
Peter joined our team as the manager of our Commercial Division in 2017, integrating his wealth of knowledge and over five decades of experience in real estate valuation across Canada’s public and private sectors. His journey includes senior roles within federal & provincial governments, including the chief appraiser for property assessment in Nova Scotia and senior public practice.
Senior Appraiser
Ryan has significantly contributed to our team since joining in 2012. His journey to success commenced with the completion of his BBA from St. Francis Xavier University, followed by attaining his professional accreditations as a CRA and P.App through UBC and the AIC in 2018. As a licensed member of the NSREAA and a professionally designated member of the AIC, Ryan brings expertise and insight to our firm and clientele.
BBA – Commercial Division
Cody is our Senior Commercial Appraiser, holding the AACI and P.App designations. He graduated with a BBA at UNB Fredericton in 2013 and has significantly contributed to our team since joining in 2015. He has further honed his expertise in real estate valuation by completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Valuation at UBC in 2020 and earning his AACI designation through the AIC in 2021.
AIC Candidate Appraiser
Abby is our newest team member who joined our firm in 2022. She is known for her academic achievements, having completed her BSc in Biology & Psychology, earning a place on the Dean’s List at Saint Mary’s University.
